We’re looking for someone who is passionate about helping athletes grow in skill, confidence, and teamwork. The ideal candidate has experience coaching gymnastics or tumbling, enjoys working with kids of all ages, and can create a fun, safe, and motivating training environment.
Responsibilities:

Coach team practices with a focus on skill development, strength, and performance.

Ensure safety standards are followed at all times.

Qualifications:

Prior gymnastics/tumbling coaching or competitive experience preferred.

Birthday Party, Pizza Fun Night, Sub Coach
Part Time

Mattoon Academy is hiring outgoing and dependable Event & Program Staff to help with Pizza Fun Nights, birthday parties, and occasional substitute shifts. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with kids in a fun, high-energy environment!
Responsibilities:

Assist with special events such as Pizza Fun Night and birthday parties.

Supervise and engage children in games, activities, and gymnastics play.

Help with set-up, clean-up, and keeping events running smoothly.

Step in as a substitute coach or staff member when needed.

Ensure a safe, positive, and welcoming atmosphere for all families.

Enjoy working with children and families.

Friendly, reliable, and able to work as part of a team.

Previous experience in childcare, coaching, or event hosting is a plus, but not required (training provided).
Recreational Class Coach

Mattoon Academy is looking for a fun, energetic, and reliable Recreational Gymnastics/Tumbling Coach to join our team! We’re seeking someone who loves working with kids, has a passion for movement, and can create a positive and encouraging class environment.
Responsibilities:

Teach recreational gymnastics/tumbling classes for beginners through intermediate levels.

Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and spotting to ensure safety.

Build students’ confidence while helping them develop coordination, strength, and flexibility.

Create a fun, welcoming atmosphere where all students feel successful.
Qualifications:

Experience working with children required; gymnastics/tumbling experience preferred (training available).

Mattoon Academy is looking for a passionate and creative Dance Coach/Instructor to join our staff! We’re seeking someone who loves sharing the art of dance with kids, teens, and young adults in a fun, supportive environment. The ideal candidate can teach a variety of styles, encourage confidence, and help students grow in both technique and performance.
Responsibilities:

Teach recreational and/or team dance classes in styles such as jazz, hip hop, ballet, lyrical, or contemporary.

Create engaging, age-appropriate choreography and lesson plans.

Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere that builds confidence and teamwork.

Prepare students for performances, showcases, and events.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
Qualifications:

Prior dance teaching or performance experience preferred.
