FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Question
When can my child move up to the next class?
Answer
We do student evaluations once per session, once your child's evaluation has been completed we will send home a report card, as well as update your child's skill chart in iclass. We will mark on your child's report card if your child is ready to move up and a suggestion for what class to enroll them in. This will also help you see what your child is working on in class!
Question
What should my child wear to class?
Answer
For any gymnastics or tumbling class we ask that your child wear tight fitting athletic clothing or a leotard. This prevents clothing from getting caught in equipment. We also ask that no jeans, skirts, or dresses be worn. All hair should be secured out of the child's face. If your child is in a tumbling class they are required to have a pair of socks. If your child forgets socks we do have some available for purchase in our pro-shop.
For dance classes your child can wear any athletic wear. We do ask that you purchase the correct type of shoe for your child's class.
Question
When can I register/join a class?
Answer
You can register your child any time, however, we do have three main sessions: Fall, Spring, & Summer. Most of our classes will fill up during the beginning of these sessions so its best to register early.
Registration for all dance classes during our spring session will close in February due to our recital.
*All students registered during the fall session will automatically roll over into the spring session unless notified.
Question
My child has never done gymnastics/dance before, will they be okay in a class?
Answer
Of course! For children 5 & up who have no previous experience we recommend starting in our beginner classes which will introduce all of the basics. Once your child gets introduced we can re-evaluate based on your child's skill level!
Question
How do I get on tumbling, gymnastics, or dance team?
Answer
For tumbling and gymnastics teams we will host open try outs in early May. These are free to attend, however, you must register ahead of time.
For dance team we will hold auditions in July. If you are interested in dance team please feel fee to inquire about the process.
Question
Can my child switch classes if they don't like gymnastics or tumbling?
Answer
Absolutely! Our main goal is to instill love in the sport. If your child feels that they would enjoy another class they are more than welcome to try it out as long as they have the required skills and the class has openings!
